To help keep you fueled up and cool down, try out this dish – Indonesian Gado-Gado is a popular salad served with boiled potatoes and eggs, and a massive selection of raw and cooked vegetables. • 2 cups of bean sprouts
  • 1 cup of boiled green beans
  • 4 boiled eggs, peeled
  • 2 sliced cucumbers
  • 1 sliced tomato
  • ½ cup of shrimp, cooked and peeled
  • Vegetable oil for sautéing

Once your ingredients are prepped, combine all of the vegetables, eggs, and shrimp in a bowl and mix well. To make the dressing, you’ll need:

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons of lime juice
  • 4 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 4 tablespoons of tamarind juice
  • 2 tablespoons of palm sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of fried shallots
  • 1 teaspoon of shrimp paste
