Resep Masakan Cirebon (Authentic Cuisine from Cirebon)
The ingredients you’ll need:
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 shallots, minced
- 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
- 2 tablespoons of chili paste
- 2 tablespoons of ground coriander
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 2 cabbages, julienned
- 1/4 cup of green beans, julienned
- 3 cups water
With these ingredients, you’ll be able to make this delicious dish in just a few short steps!
Start by sautéing the garlic, shallots, tomatoes, and the chili paste in the coconut oil until they are tender. Then add the ground coriander and the coconut sugar, and cook until fragrant. Add the cabbage and the beans to the pan, stirring and continuing to cook over medium heat. Finally, add the water and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the vegetables are softened. Serve with jasmine rice or bread, and enjoy!
Makanan Khas Sunda (Traditional Cuisine from Sunda)
To make this sunda dish, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 1/2 kilogram ground beef or chicken
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup tapioca flour
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/4 cup green peas
- 1/4 cup carrots, julienned
- 1/4 cup potatoes, julienned
- 1 cup of water
Let’s get started by forming the patty. In one bowl, place the ground beef or chicken and mix with the garlic, pepper, and nutmeg. In another bowl, mix the tapioca flour with 2 tablespoons of water until it begins to come together. Finally, mix the two together and form into a patty. Heat up the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, and cook the patty until golden brown on both sides. Once cooked through, remove it from the heat and set aside.
Next, begin preparing the vegetables. Heat up a separate skillet, and sauté the carrots, peas, and potatoes until just tender. Reduce the heat to a simmer, add the water and cook for another 5 minutes or so. To serve, place the patty on a plate and top with the vegetables and their sauce.
